Founded in 1878 as Newton Health Club LYR FC, and reborn as manchester United in 1902, this iconic instituition has grown from humble beginnings to become a global phenomenon.
Under the guidance of Matt Busby, the team won First Division titles in 1952, 1956, and 1957.


The 1950s marked a transformative era for Manchester United under the visionary leadership of Matt Busby. Busby revolutionised the club by nurturing young talent, developing what became famously known as the "Busby Babes" - a remarkable group of young players who emerged from the club's youth system.
Under Matt Busby's guidance, United claimed the First Division championship in 1951-52, ending a 41-year wait for the title. The team followed this with another league title in 1955-56, with the Busby Babes in full flow.




Returning from a match against Red Star Belgrave, a plane carrying Manchester United's famous Busy Boys failed to take off three times in snowy conditions, with the last resulting in a crash that killed 44 passengers.
Matt Busby returned in critical condition, having lost players; Geoff Bent, Roger Byrne, Eddie Colman, Duncan Edwards, Mark Jones, David Pegg, Tommy Taylor, and Billy Whelan.

A historic year for Manchester United as they became the first English club to win the European Cup. Bobby Charlton and Bill Foulkes, who both survived Munich, played in the final.

1992 was another pivotal year for Manchester United as it marked the beginning of the club's modern era of dominance. In November of 1992, Eric Cantona is signed. Especially as The Class of '92 was emerging, with players like Ryan Giggs making his breakthrough.

Old Trafford, affectionately known as "The Theatre of Dreams" (a nickname given by Bobby Charlton), has been Manchester United's home since 1910. As England's largest club stadium with a capacity of 74,310, it stands as a monument to football history and the club's enduring legacy.





The Sir Alex Ferguson Stand
Holding a capacity of 26,000, with 3 tiers, and decorated in the iconic MANCHESTER UNITED seats, this is the mosty photographed area opf the stadium, and is named after one of the 'greatest managers of all time.' Having the dugouts directly in front for great views, this part of the stadium helped Old Trafford become one of the largest stadium in english football.
Stretford End
Known as the West Stand, this place in the stadium is where the most vocal supporters sit. The atmosphere here is electric, and is known for being a 'sea of red.'
The Sir Bobby Charlton Stand
The Sir Bobby Charlton Stand (East Stand) is the oldest part of the ground. It shows heritage via its wooden seats in the directors' box area and some amazing views of the pitch. The tunnel's here too, where you can see the players coming out. Sir Bobby Charlton is a Manchester United legend, and so it is only fair he is honoured in such a way.
The Players Tunnel
100 feet long and finished with glossed red brick walls, the players tunnel is full of club merchandise that tells stories from the time of the Busby Babes, all the way through to Ronaldo.
